Stephanie has always wanted to be a teacher. It's been her life's goal and passion. Through her YMCA after school program lead until today, she has experience at grade levels K-6. She has worked in IUSD for 13 years, and has been lucky to call Stonegate her home for the last 12 years where she has taught grades 4-6. Even though she always believed she would land in primary, she has found a special place in her heart for upper grade learning. She loves watching the "light bulb" moments that happen so frequently in fourth grade, where students begin their journey towards becoming more independent and confident students. Outside of normal teaching duties, she has served as an EdTech for 8 years, and has been the site PBIS coach for the last two years. These opportunities have fostered a desire to continue to develop new ways to engage students with their learning experience. Glow Day is just one of the many exciting experiences that can be found in her classroom!
